This is a detailed guide on how to set up a Twitter page for your business. If you’ve already got a page move on to the next post for tips on what type of content to be posting on Twitter to engage and grow your audience. If you missed it, in the last post we discussed how to create a Facebook Page for your business.
If you’re ready to dive in and create a Twitter page, start by heading over to www.twitter.com and select Sign up. Enter your full name (company name), email/phone and a password and we’ll get started.
Select your interests

Twitter will then give you the option to follow pages related to your interests. It’s worth following a few of these pages or some of your competitors to get a feel for what content they’re posting. If they’ve been using Twitter for some time, they’ll have a better understanding of what your audience want to see and engage with.

Pick a profile photo
Add a photo that will be instantly recognisable to your audience. Anything too text-heavy will be hard for people to identify. A good place to start would be to use your company logo.
Next, add a description of who you are as a business. Here is a great guide on how to create a powerful Twitter bio.
Where do you live?
Tell Twitter the location of your business.
View your profile
Once you’ve completed your profile, click See my profile to view your progress.
Add a header photo
To finish your profile, add a header photo that will be visually enticing when people view your profile. To add a header photo, select Edit profile, then Add a header photo. Here’s an extensive guide on image sizes for your Twitter profile layout.[quote]
