Do you love to solve problems, do you look for ways to make things quicker and leaner. Do you want to develop software that makes a positive impact on peoples lives and that actually gets used? We need someone to do just that and join our world-class development team.
As the UK’s leading eCommerce platform we power one out of every five online shops in the UK. Our online shops are used by business owners and their teams to sell successfully online. We are trusted by big brands including Oxfam, Chicco, Classic Team Lotus, Shepperton Design Studio and Royal Images to name just a few. With over half a billion pounds per year going through EKM retailer stores you will be working on the backend system building functionality that will be groundbreaking and actually used by thousands of shop owners every single day.
As part of our development team, you could be working with our partners PayPal, Klarna, Google, Amazon, eBay on partner integrations and or building additional functionality to help businesses get more sales online. You'll spend your time writing clean code, unit tests and releasing early and often. Using the best tools and latest technologies to enhance and develop new and meaningful features used by millions of people.
Being online has never been more important and you will have the ability to make a positive difference, you will be able to see the impact that your work and development projects have and you can be confident that your time and your work will be used and appreciated.
This role is in one of our agile squads, which are geared up to be autonomous and reduce bottlenecks as much as possible. Our squads sit and work together in private offices although we are all currently working from home. Self organisation and collaboration means the EKM team is world-class and you will have all the tools needed to take projects from inception right through to release.
Picture working for a tech giant like Google or Apple... relaxed dress code, free snacks, tea & coffee, lots of company trips and a real campus feel to your workplace. Silicon Valley might be a few thousand miles away, but ekm.com was born and bred in sunny Lancashire.
With an open approach to managing people and a strong emphasis on knowledge share, ekm.com’s success comes from its staff, the ideas they generate and the amazing results they bring.
We have a number of developer roles at varying levels so please still apply even if you feel you don’t meet all the requirements.
